HiQCell is a unique regenerative treatment for joint and tendon disease.
The simple procedure uses stem cells taken from the patient's own fat tissue to treat osteoarthritis and tendinopathy or chronic tendinosis.
Adipose tissue contains many regenerative cells (also known as stem cells) and is one of the richest sources of one type of stem cell called Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC). These stem cells are found in large numbers within adipose tissue and because of this there is no need to grow, expand or manipulate the cells before using them.
The science behind the HiQCell procedure builds on a long history of using a person's own cells for a range of medical treatments. These include bone marrow transplants (haematopoietic stem cell transplants) and fat transfer in plastic/reconstructive surgery, such as fat transfer for face reconstruction after injury. These types of treatments have well established safety records because they are "autologous" i.e the treatment comes from the person's own cells. More about the HiQCell treatment »
